Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on March 16 1984 in Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's best-known and popular comedians. She has been seen on QI along as well as Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea is an Irish comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea first began her career in stand-up comedy in 2011, after playing a few small roles she appeared on Irish and British TV dramas beginning in 2009. In 2012 she was on sitcoms or sketch comedy. After she won an award at Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA), she started to appear frequently in panel programs. She was a captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team from 2016 to 2017 and was an ongoing contestant on its spinoff show, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was born to Brian and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. In 2012, she was the only woman to win the So You Think You Are Funny Award. The surname of Bea is in honor of her father who passed away. Aisling Cliodhnadh, O'Sullivan is a Kildare born girl. Her birth date was March 16th 1984. Bea's father Brian is an equine doctor who killed himself at the age of three. Bea didn't learn how the death of her father occurred until she turned thirteen. The stage name Bea was a tribute for her father. Bea published an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017, about her experience dealing with suicide. Bea as well as her sister Sinead were nurtured by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) who was a secondary school teacher jockey trainer and an ex-professional jockey. Their family was obsessed with racing meetings and horses. Bea had a job as a Tour Guide at the Irish National Stud. From the age of a child, Bea knew that she did not want to pursue a racing career. Instead she loved the artistic arts.
